"The Social Justice League" Explore your Super Powers within your Team

The Social Justice League is a creative session designed to help participants explore implicit bias and identify their own unique super powers (individual strengths) as change leaders to create inclusive team cultures among their organizations. Using figurative X-ray vision and other super power activities we will dive deep into diversity and implicit bias and more specifically how implicit bias can affect productivity and ingenuity among teams. 

Starting with posing key questions –  Do you feel that it is difficult for you to be your authentic self within your organization? Do you have great ideas, but are hesitant to share them with your team? –  then working towards solutions, the Social Justice League workshop helps participants to recognize diversity and harness their own strengths. 

Using cognitive tools and CPS strategies through simulated activities, this seminar empowers attendees to cultivate an inclusive and engaging environment within their organizations and foster their ability to be innovative change agents in our global society.     

What will you learn or experience as a result of this program or session?
  • You will take part in workshop activities where you will be able to obtain a working understanding of Implicit Bias and how it can affect productivity and ingenuity among teams.
  • You will identify your own unique cognitive strengths and how they can be incorporated as Social Justice tools within your organizations. 
  • You will acquire the creative tools necessary to cultivate an inclusive environment using Cognitive Diversity Appreciation simulated activities and strategies.

How might the content of this program or session change your perceptions, habits, ways of working, or view on the world?
  • You might feel more empowered to show your authentic self, show your personality, share ideas, and perspectives with those around you.
  • You might become more educated about the term implicit bias and how you can be a social change leader among your teams.
  • You might discover new ways to creatively engage individuals among your team by using inclusive language and activities.

How might you apply what you learn or experience in this program or session?
  • You might start to use the “Recognize” strategy designed for participants to identify their cognitive strengths,  leadership ability, and creativity as it relates to their organization’s mission or goals or academic discipline.
  • You might start to use the “Appreciate” strategy designed for participants to actively demonstrate a working knowledge of Cognitive Diversity Appreciation of diverse perspectives, ideas, and capabilities.
  • You might start to use the “Value” adding strategy which is designed to exercise positive reframing and using inclusive language with their team members.
