There is a voice at our fingertips we rarely invite “into the room.” That “voice” is the wisdom of our body. Deepak Chopra captures our mind/body relationship beautifully: “Every cell in your body is eavesdropping into your thoughts.” The complex system of our body is specially attuned to sense into the complex problems of today.
Social Presencing is a practice of “leaning into” your body and noticing the feeling in your body. The body is a large sensing organ interfacing ourselves with the physical world. It is not neutral; as the world informs our body, our body informs our world. Seeing our body – a complex system itself – as a holder of wisdom, insights or data, opens a whole new palette to explore solutions. This complex system of the body is uniquely and poetically positioned to give us insight into the complex problems of today. Social Presencing is used world-wide to gain quick insights into complex organizations and interacting systems.
